Fermentation Workshop & Gut-Nourishing Lunch with A.P. Chef

Join A.P. Chef at The Gathering Space for a hands-on Fermentation Workshop, followed by a delicious two-course gut-friendly feast. This immersive session will explore the magic of fermentation, giving you the confidence to bring these ancient techniques into your own kitchen.

The Workshop:
What You’ll Learn & Make:
• The art of sauerkraut – hands-on fermentation to take home
• Spiced kombucha shallots – a unique, tangy condiment
• A kimchi demonstration – understanding the process behind this punchy, probiotic staple

You'll leave with your own batch of sauerkraut and spiced kombucha shallots, along with the knowledge to continue fermenting at home.

Fermented foods are packed with probiotics, aiding digestion, improving gut health, and supporting overall well-being. This workshop will dive into the why and how of fermentation, helping you harness its benefits in everyday cooking.

The Lunch:
After the workshop, sit down to a nourishing two-course meal featuring ingredients known to support gut health. Expect a vibrant spread incorporating, tempeh, kimchi, miso, and sourdough, a kefir-based sweet treat to finish on a probiotic high as well as seasonal organic produce to complement and elevate every dish.

A celebration of flavour, fermentation, and nourishment—this is an event not to be missed!

Gong Bath: 

Immerse yourself in a deeply restorative sound healing experience in the tranquil setting of the Gathering Space at Griffin Estate. A Gong Bath is a powerful form of sound therapy that can help ease stress, stimulate the glands and release emotional tension. The soothing vibrations encourage your body to shift into a state of deep calm and renewal by realigning the parasympathetic nervous system.

 

What happens during the session:

The sound of the gong gently guides your brain from its usual active (Beta) state into the meditative Theta and Delta waves. This shift can help improve sleep, reduce anxiety and enhance mental clarity.

No previous experience is necessary to take part.

 

What to bring:

  • A yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on

  • A blanket or duvet to keep warm

  • A pillow for extra support

  • Optional: a reclining chair

  • Optional: an eye mask or covering

Session Details:

7:00 PM start - Please aim to arrive by 6:45pm to get settled in.
Free parking is available on-site.  

Late arrivals cannot be accommodated once the session begins.

 

Important Notes:

This session may not be suitable if you:

  • are in the first trimester of pregnancy

  • have a pacemaker

  • experience sound-triggered epilepsy

  • If you’re unsure whether it’s appropriate for you, please consult your healthcare provider beforehand.

Tickets are non-refundable. That said, we’ll do our best to resell your ticket and offer a refund, or you’re welcome to pass your place on to a friend.

Spring Yoga Retreat with Cheryl Parr

10am - 4pm / £80 per person including a light Vegetarian Mezze Lunch.

A one day retreat of asana, meditation, pranayama and yoga nidra providing you with tips, rituals and self-care routines to help you transition smoothly into Spring. This is a day for you to reset and reconnect with yourself in terms of your daily physical, mental and spiritual health. The day will begin with a dynamic and energising morning master yoga class followed by a light vegetarian Mezza lunch. The afternoon will continue with a restorative yoga practice, meditation, yoga nidra and Crystal Sound Bath to leave you feeling calm and revitalised at the end of the day. Both sessions will allow time for me to work closely with you and to tailor the sessions to help deepen your individual practice. The retreat is suitable for all experience level.
